1301 Sansome Street is a 36,000 sq. ft. reinforced concrete headquarters style building. Once home of Haslett Warehouse, this concrete building sits at the base of the world famous Filbert Street Steps.
This concrete structure has been exposed and rehabilitated to retain its industrial roots, while creating an open and modern look-and-feel. The feature that makes this building stand out from the crowd is it’s rooftop garden and penthouse, which was featured prominently in Life magazine. The Italian style patio has an impressive view of Telegraph Hill and Coit tower, and it the perfect refuge to escape from your working day. The interior of the building boasts two-story atrium linking the 2nd and 3rd floors, perfectly marrying style with the stark concrete theme.
The penthouse is unique to San Francisco Office buildings. The building itself has been the headquarters to Pearson Education since 2000.
